Lesson from the letter of St Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews
Heb 10:32-38
Brethren: Call to mind the days gone by, in which, after you had been enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings; partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by making common cause with those who fared thus. For you both have had compassion on those in prison and have joyfully accepted the plundering of your own goods, knowing that you have a better possession and a lasting one. Do not, therefore, lose your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of patience that, doing the will of God, you may receive the promise: For yet a very little while, and He Who is to come, will come, and will not delay. Now My just one lives by faith.
Léctio Epístolæ beáti Pauli Apóstoli ad Hebrǽos
Hebr 10:32-38
Ps 39:18-19
When the just cry out the Lord hears them, and from all their distress He rescues them.
℣. The Lord is close to those who are contrite of heart; and those who are humble of spirit He saves. Alleluia, alleluia.
℣. The white-robed army of Martyrs praises You, O Lord. Alleluia.
Ps 33:18-19
℣. Te Mártyrum candidátus laudat exércitus, Dómine. Allelúja.

℣. The Lord is close to those who are contrite of heart; and those who are humble of spirit He saves.
Ps 125:5-6
Those that sow in tears shall reap rejoicing. V} Although they go forth weeping, carrying the seed to be sown.
℣. They shall come back rejoicing, carrying their sheaves.
Ps 33:18-19
Ps 125:5-6
Qui séminant in lácrimis, in gáudio metent.

Wis 3:1-3
The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead: but they are in peace, alleluia.
(sed post Septuagesimam dicitur)
peace.
Sap 3:1-3
pace.
May the gifts of Your people, we beseech You, O Lord, by the prayers of Your holy Martyrs, Nabor and Felix, be made pleasing to You, and may they be made worthy by the merits of those in honor of whose victories they are offered to Your name.
Through our Lord…
Múnera plebis tuæ, quǽsumus, Dómine, sanetórum Mártyrum tuórum Nabóris et Felícis fiant grata suffrágiis: et, quorum triúmphis tuo nómini offeruntur, ipsorum digna perficiantur et méritis.

Common
It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:
Communis
Matt 10:27
What I tell you in darkness, speak it in the light, says the Lord; and what you hear whispered, preach it on the housetops.
Matt 10:27
On the anniversary of the death of Your Saints, we beseech You, O Lord, that, being strengthened by the gift of the sacrament, we may enjoy forever the good things with which, through Your grace, we are now comforted.
Through our Lord…
Natalítiis Sanctórum tuórum, quǽsumus, Dómine: ut, sacraménti múnere vegetáti, bonis, quibus per tuam grátiam nunc fovémur, perfruámur ætérnis.
Per Dominum…
