Lesson from the book of Wisdom
Wis 5:16-20
But the just shall live for evermore: and their reward is with the Lord, and the care of them with the most High. Therefore shall they receive a kingdom of glory, and a crown of beauty at the hand of the Lord: for with his right hand he will cover them, and with his holy arm he will defend them. And his zeal will take armour, and he will arm the creature for the revenge of his enemies. He will put on justice as a breastplate, and will take true judgment instead of a helmet. He will take equity for an invincible shield:

Sap 5:16-20
Ps. 88:6; 88:2
The heavens shall confess thy wonders, O Lord: and thy truth in the church of the saints.
℣. The mercies of the Lord I will sing for ever. I will shew forth thy truth with my mouth to generation and generation. Alleluia, alleluia.
℣. This is the true brotherhood, which overcame the wickedness of the world; it followed Christ, attaining the noble kingdom of heaven. Alleluia.

Confitebúntur cœli mirabília tua, Dómine: etenim veritátem tuam in ecclésia sanctórum.
℣. Misericórdias tuas, Dómine, in ætérnum cantábo: in generatióne et progénie. Allelúja, allelúja.
℣. Hæc est vera fratérnitas, quæ vicit mundi crímina: Christum secúta est, ínclita tenens regna cœléstia. Allelúja.
Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
Matt 11:25-30
At that time, Jesus spoke and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You hid these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, for such was Your good pleasure. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and him to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden light.
Sequéntia ☩ sancti Evangélii secúndum Matthǽum
Matt 11:25-30
Ps 67:36
God is wonderful in His Saints; the God of Israel is He Who gives power and strength to His people. Blessed be God! Alleluia.
Ps 67:36
Mirábilis Deus in Sanctis suis: Deus Israël, ipse dabit virtútem et fortitúdinem plebi suæ: benedíctus Deus, allelúja.
We ask, O Lord, that the sacrifice to be offered may appease thee of this feast of glorious martyrdom; may it cleanse us from our sins, and make the prayers of thy setvants acceptable unto thee.
Through our Lord…
Fiat tibi, quǽsumus, Dómine, hóstia sacránda placábilis, pretiósi celebritáte martýrii: quæ et peccáta nostra puríficet, et tuórum tibi vota concíliet famulórum.

It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:

I have chosen you; that you should go, and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain.
Joannes 15:16
Ego vos elégi de mundo, ut eátis et fructum afferátis: et fructus vester máneat.
We pray, almighty God, that the feast day of thy holy martyrs, Primus and Felician, which we celebrate with the heavenly mysteries, may obtain for us thy merciful forgiveness.
